In January 2014 he was offered a full-time faculty position as Assistant Professor with the then 5 year-old PA Studies Program at the University of Pittsburgh. Since then, he has taught 3 semesters per year, including graduate Medical Physiology and Pathophysiology, Genetics, and most notably Intro to Clinical Medicine, Clinical Medicine I, and Clinical Medicine II. Starting in 2017 he started teaching Physiology and Pathophysiology to undergraduate students in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences Rehabilitation Science program.

The Be Excited! Podcast was formed as a program-agnostic PA education and information tool based on the NCCPA blueprint topics, which inform all learning objectives in PA studies. Taking advantage of the many wonderful community PA connections, interprofessional colleagues, and years of pedagogical experience working with hundreds of PA students and advisees, we hope to serve future, current and recent graduate PAs in their journey with accessible, timely learning specific to the wide variety of needs they have, in an audio format.
